Conveyancing
Although we are based in Henley on Thames we can assist in the sale or purchase of property anywhere in England and Wales and with the use of modern technology it is not unusual for our clients to reside not only locally but elsewhere in the country and abroad.
We are members of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) – the mark of excellence for the home buying process. The scheme requires members to undergo a strict assessment, compulsory training, self reporting, random audits and annual reviews in order to maintain the CQS status which is reviewed annually by The Law Society.
We can also assist with the transfer of properties and equity release schemes.
Wills
We are pleased to advise in respect of the preparation of a Will or the updating of an earlier Will. We store our client's Wills free of charge..
We are able to act as an Executor either solely or with others and, unlike some practices, we do not make an extra charge for doing so, so please feel free to discuss this option with us.
Probate
It is always very sad to lose a close member of the family or a friend and at such a time it may be easier to receive legal advice and assistance in dealing with the estate whether large or small especially if a residential property or business is involved. Our expertise can mean that matters proceed quickly and simply. We charge an hourly rate for this type of work and we only charge for the time spent in dealing with a matter. We do not make an extra charge for acting as an Executor or charge a percentage of the value of the estate.
Other Matters
We regret that we do not deal with any contentious matters, offering independent advice to persons associated with the clients of other solicitors or act in respect of applications to the Inland Revenue for the reimbersement of Stamp Duty Land Tax.
